These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Aretē Fitness mobile application and website at aretefitnessapp.com (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Aretē Fitness ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Aretē. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@aretefitnessapp.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
Aretē offers optional premium subscriptions (monthly and annual) and a one-time lifetime purchase, processed through the Apple App Store via RevenueCat.

Aretē is not a medical service. The information and features provided — including workout suggestions, AI-generated routines, strength scores, and progress tracking — are for general fitness and informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. AI-generated content is produced by Anthropic's Claude model and may not always reflect current exercise science best practices; use it as a starting point, not a prescription. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new exercise programme, especially if you have a medical condition or injury. If you use GPS cardio tracking, remain aware of your surroundings — do not interact with the app while moving in traffic or hazardous environments. You use the Service at your own risk.
All content, design, software, and trademarks within the Service are owned by or licensed to Aretē Fitness. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission. Your workout data remains yours; you may export it at any time from Settings → Account → Export Data.
By uploading a profile picture or other content to the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service. We do not claim ownership of your personal fitness data.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or by contacting support@aretefitnessapp.com. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
From time to time we may offer pre-release versions of Aretē (for example, through Apple's TestFlight programme). Beta versions are provided for testing purposes, may contain bugs, and may include features that change or are removed before public release — including features offered free during testing that later require a paid subscription. We may need to reset or migrate data collected during a beta period, although we make reasonable efforts to preserve it. Your use of a beta version is also subject to the platform's own beta terms (e.g. TestFlight).
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aretē Fitness is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, personal injury, or property damage resulting from fitness activities.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the jurisdiction where Aretē Fitness operates.
